"What serious advice by the numbers would you give the president as to how to deal with the ever encroaching threat of fundamental Islam?" -- a question to me from a posting at Jihad Watch
1. Education: Make sure that the 5-10 most relevant books are read by generals, other officers, and men -- beginning with those at the War College. And make sure that those in the Department of Justice, civilian employees in the Department of Defense, upper-level employees in the Department of Health and Human Services, and members of Congress and state and local government are properly educated on the subject of Islam. Stop misrepresenting Islam as a doctrine that encourages "peace" and "tolerance." Stop continuing to insist that those who conduct Jihad are doing so despite Islam, and not quite properly prompted by, and in the name of, and in the spirit of, Islam.
Attempt on every occasion to raise the matter of what Islam teaches and how Muslims intend to deal with these teachings, or not to, at every meeting with Muslim ambassadors and leaders. Never leave it out of any speech -- and make sure that from the top down, everyone is echoing the same sentiments, asking the same questions, wondering the same things aloud.
2. Establish a War Board which, once it has been clearly understood that the menace threatening all Infidels everywhere is properly called a "Jihad," then that War Board will seek to identify and bring to the attention of Infidels everywhere the various instruments of that Jihad. While military means are part of Jihad, whether acts of terrorism or battlefield combat (qital), they are not the most effective or most threatening instruments of Jihad. These others include "wealth" (i.e. oil revenues), "pen, speech" (propaganda), and the latest weapon, the demographic weapon. It is important to produce evidence from Muslim press, radio, television, and websites, that there is a clear understanding among Muslims of how, for example, "demographic conquest" can -- and has in the past in various parts of the world -- succeed in islamizing a place.
3. Establish a Propaganda Unit whose aim will be to make clear to non-Arab Muslims that within Islam there is an Arab supremacist ideology that is not only political (so that non-Arab Muslims are always enrolled in whatever political demands the Arabs make, but not vice-versa), but cultural and linguistic: the taking of Arab names, the turning five times a day in the direction of Arabia, the insistence that the model for all mankind, for all time, is Mohammad, a seventh-century Arab, and in addition, his Companions whose mores and manners were those of 7th-century Arabs, so that Kurds, Berbers, Persians, Malays and others are made to forget, or despise, as much as possible, their own history, language, and culture. There should be no let-up in attempts to bring the real nature of Islam home to these Muslims.
Another part of this propaganda unit would emphasize the way in which Islam stunts civilizational development and individual mental growth. The habit of mental submission, the system of Total Regulation (of what you eat, of what you wear, of how your hair is done, of how you wash yourself, of absolutely everything under the sun) and, in addition, the setting up of the Qur'an as containing all of Science, so that in the end human curiosity is stifled, and one is discouraged -- forbidden, in fact -- from exercising free and skeptical inquiry needs to be noted. Mothers need to realize that Islam will hold their children back. Some will ignore this, but many will not.
The many prohibitions in Islam, on music, on painting of living creatures, on sculpture, on much else, also needs to be given attention, and emphasis.
If Islam can be seen as an enemy of human freedom and thought -- which it is -- it will be easier to cause those who might otherwise be inclined to be tolerant, those for whom that art and that science and that mental freedom are supposed to be important, to enroll in the anti-Jihad. That anti-Jihad, of course, needs every conceivable recruit, however those recruits may find one another to leave something to be desired.
4. Identify places where natural fissues within Islam can be exploited at little cost and with great benefit. Obvious example: Iraq. Other examples: black Africa, where the treatment of black Africans by Arabs should evoke, and can be made to evoke, the centuries of the Arab slave trade. That trade began earlier than the European slave trade, and ended, most unwillingly, later under European pressure. It has more or less been re-begun wherever Arab Muslims have been free from such pressure or prying, in the Sudan, in Mali, in Mauritania, and even, one has reason to believe, in Saudi Arabia. It needs to be constantly emphasized that slavery cannot be outlawed in Islam, that it is part of Islam, that its victims have been black Africans and Slavs in south and eastern Europe, and people catpured on raids in Western Europe. This is not a case of blackening an image, but merely of presenting the true face of what has been so carefully hidden from view.
5. Do everything possible to unite Infidels everywhere -- all non-Muslims, some of whom have had more immediate or recent experience of Muslim rule, as Hindus in India, and whose historical experience (60-70 million killed by Muslims) could help in changing the natural tendency toward appeasement of so many Western Europeans.
6. Keep all major weapons systems out of the hands of Muslim governments -- no matter how seemingly friendly or "moderate" that government may, at the moment, profess to be. No exceptions, for "moderates" can always become "immoderate."
7. Keep Turkey out of the E.U., for its presence would guarantee the future islamization of Europe -- which must be stopped.
8. Seek ways to militarily reverse Muslim encroachments, wherever results can be surely achieved at little cost, and where the benefits would be great -- as would happen if the Americans were to seize the southern Sudan and Darfur, only in order to hold a referendum on indpendence from the northern Arab Muslims, and not to bring "democracy."
9. Work to reverse the Russian suspicion and resentment of the United States, and continually point out to the Russians that it is they who have the most to fear from Iranian or other Muslim possession of nuclear weapons, unless Russia is prepared not only to surrender the entire Caucasus, but to throw both Georgia and Armenia to the Muslim wolves. In the end, Russia itself, given its own birth-rate, and that of the Muslims within it, has to begin to grasp that this is not a mere matter of swarthy southerners -- the "chornyie" who arouse Russian suspicions -- not a matter of skin color but of ideology: a matter of Muslims, whether swarthy or white as the snow in the lands of the Evenks.
10. Understand how very useless is the concept of the "moderate" Muslim -- because it is impossible to know when someone's "moderation" is real or feigned. Experience shows that Muslim dissimulation -- whether called taqiyya, kitman, or simply dissimulation -- comes naturally. Also, by his mere presence a "moderate" Muslim can swell the ranks, and hence the perceived power, of Muslims and thereby help even the "immoderates" obtain their demands on craven Infidel politicians. And also because even the "moderate" can be transformed, sometimes very quickly, into the "immoderate" Muslim, or can have children who themselves will turn out, in a seeking-your-roots or disaffected-from-the-West attitude, to become "immoderate."
11. Work to stop further penetration and settlement behind what Muslims themselves regard as enemy lines. This requires not a general attack on immigration, but specific moves to limit Muslim immigration. This can only take place if the Idols of the Age, about Diversity and Everyone Wants the Same Thing and Tolerance is Always the Only Conceivable Policy, are undermined, mocked, and shown up as the dangers they are.

"Moderate" muslims support murder

A survey by a university in Turkey has shown almost 40% support for the practice of "honour killing".
The results come days after a court in Istanbul gave a life sentence for the murder of a girl by her brothers for giving birth to a child out of wedlock.
Turkish law, which used to be lenient on "honour crimes", was heavily revised as part of the country's preparation for EU accession proceedings.
Turkey has started talks with the EU but is not expected to join for years.
The survey was conducted in the conservative south-eastern city of Diyarbakir.

It questioned 430 people, most of them men. When asked the appropriate punishment for a woman who has committed adultery, 37% replied she should be killed.
Twenty-five percent said that she deserved divorce, and 21% that her nose or ears should be cut off.
The survey group was small but the results are a reminder that "honour killing" - a practice where women are murdered for allegedly bringing shame on their family - still has significant support in parts of Turkey.
There are no reliable statistics on how many women die this way, but Turkey has made major strides fighting such violence.

Since the penal code was reformed last summer a man can no longer claim he was provoked as his defence. That used to lead to light sentences.
But last Friday a court in Istanbul sent a man to prison for life for murdering his sister in her hospital bed.
He shot her for giving birth to a child outside marriage.
And there is evidence the authorities here are committed to taking the reforms further.
A commission has just been established in parliament to research the whole issue for the first time. Its 12 members are expected to report back in December.

Feeding 1,200 people with no kitchen requires a bit of preparation.
You need to light fires, boil rice and cook meat. It takes several hours. You have to get going in advance.
But one of the local mullahs did not see it that way and he paid Mohammed Mustafa a visit.
"What are you doing?" he shouted. "Don't you know it's Ramadan now? This is just not permitted.
"You can't cook food during the day. It's against Islam. Stop or I'll burn this place down - your tents, your pots, everything."
Dutch ban burka

THE Netherlands is likely to become the first country in Europe to ban the burka, under government proposals that would bring in some of the toughest curbs on Muslim clothing in the world.
The country’s hardline Integration Minister, Rita Verdonk, known as the Iron Lady for her series of tough anti-immigration measures, told Parliament that she was going to investigate where and when the burka should be banned. The burka, traditional clothing in some Islamic societies, covers a woman’s face and body, leaving only a strip of gauze for the eyes.
Mrs Verdonk gave warning that the “time of cosy tea-drinking” with Muslim groups had passed and that natives and immigrants should have the courage to be critical of each other. She recently cancelled a meeting with Muslim leaders who refused to shake her hand because she was a woman.
The proposals are likely to win the support of Parliament because of the expected backing by right-wing parties. But they have caused outrage among Muslim and human rights groups, who say that the Government is pandering to the far Right.
Mrs Verdonk admitted that a complete ban on the garment would be legally tricky because of freedom of religion legislation. However, she said that she would prohibit the garments “in specific situations” on grounds of public safety. The ban is likely to be enforced in shops, public buildings, cinemas, train and bus stations and airports, as well as on trains and buses.
The Netherlands has become preoccupied by Islamic terrorism after the investigation into the murder of the film-maker Theo van Gogh uncovered a network of Muslim extremists dedicated to destroying the country. Attention has turned to the burka because police authorities have become concerned that a terrorist could use one for concealment.
A government spokesman said: “We want to investigate when, how, in which places the burka should be banned. It is a safety measure — you don’t see who is in it.” The Government cites as a precedent existing football legislation, which bans people from entering football grounds covering their faces in scarves.
Yassim Hertog, a vice-president of the Muslim School Boards Union, said: “Can you prohibit someone from wearing a certain type of dress? They are trying to test what a government can forbid, and how far you can go trampling on people’s rights. They want to show all these Dutch citizens who are sick and tired of all these ‘mutant’ citizens, this is where we draw the line — get normal.”
Muslim groups insist that only a few dozen women in the Netherlands wear the burka, and that the ban is a distraction. The Muslims and Government Contact Body said: “Only a handful of Muslims actually wear burkas. Let us focus our energy on what we have in common. This is not a big problem.”
Last year two Muslim women lost a court case against their college that had banned them from wearing burkas during their social work and childcare course. The judge backed the college in its claim that children had to be able to see who was caring for them, prompting the women to drop the course.
Famile Arslan, the women’s lawyer, told The Times:
“Women have a very strong opinion about the burka. If you ban it they won’t leave the house. It is not a good way to integrate and emancipate Muslim women. Everything Muslims do is criticised by Verdonk. She is doing it to get votes. She doesn’t care about Muslims and their problems.”
Mrs Verdonk made the proposals after Geert Wilders, the right-wing MP, requested the ban. Mr Wilders claimed that the garment was unfriendly towards women and a threat to security.
Baroness Sarah Ludford MEP, on the European Parliament’s Civil Liberties Committee, who has been active in opposing bans on the hijab, or scarf, said that there were no arguments for banning the burka. “If there is a genuine belief that someone under a burka is a terrorist, then you invoke stop-and-search laws on the grounds of reasonable suspicion.”
The Netherlands would become the first European country to ban the wearing of the burka in public situations, although there are already some local bans. Last year several Belgian towns, including Antwerp and Ghent, banned the wearing of the burka in public, and recently started issuing £100 spot fines for breaking the municipal ordinance. Several towns in Italy, including Como, have invoked legislation introduced by Mussolini that bans hiding one’s face in public to impose fines on burka-wearers. France and several regions of Germany have followed Turkey and Tunisia in banning the wearing of the hijab, which leaves the face visible, in public buildings, most controversially in schools.

An unwillingness to discuss "reform" of Islam in any but the most general terms, without explaining precisely what such "reform" would necessarily entail, and how such "reform" would be convincingly presented, with scriptural authority within the canonical texts of Islam itself, so that it might be accepted by a billion Believers.
13. An unwillingness to discuss the relation of the tenets of Islam to the failure, despite the vast unearned riches that oil revenues have supplied ($10 trillion and counting), of Arab and Muslim states to create modern economies, or prosperity outside of a few small Gulf sheikhdoms, and within Saudi Arabia, for a distinct class consisting of the ruling family, its courtiers, and those who support the regime. In particular, how does inshallah-fatalism lead to a paralysis of entrepreneurial activity and to the attitudes necessary for sustained and productive labor, as opposed to whiling away the hours either in political activities, or the coffee-house lassitude and jabber, before a television set turned to some propaganda network, while cards are played, hubble-bubble pipes smoked, and yet another afternoon is while d away, and the locals and government officials both demand more aid from the Infidels because they essentially "owe it to us."
14. A total unwillingness to discuss the figure not of the historical Muhammad, but of Muhammad as he is presented in the Sira (the sacralized biography), where he is shown as condoning mass murder of helpless prisoners, approving of the political assassination of those (a woman and an aged man among them) whom he regarded as guilty of having mocked, or refused to accept him with the right attitude of submissive adoration), attacking an inoffensive Jewish tribe in order to seize their women and to obtain whatever loot could be distributed, and who coveted when she ws 6 years old, and married when she was 9, little Aisha -- a matter that reverberates today, for virtually Khomeini's first act was to lower the marriageable age of girls in the Islamic Republic of Iran to nine).
15. An unwillingness to discuss how the tenets of Islam, the attitudes within Islam that demand loyalty to the ruler as long as he is a Muslim, and that dismiss the worth of any sysem that would set up the consent of the governed -- i.e. mere mortals -- above the Holy Law of Islam, as derived from the holy books of Islam (Qur'an and Hadith, and the Example of Muhammad, uswa hasana, as set down in the Sira), which for a Believer is unacceptable.
16. An unwillingness to discuss how the attitudes toward women, attitudes that result in what most of us recognize as instititutionalized mistreatment, might be one of the reasons for the political, econonomic, and social backwardness that is to be found all over the Muslim lands, and precisely to the extent that they adhere more closely to Islam in their legal and social systems. Saudi Arabia, Iran, the Sudan, and Pakistan are among the worst offenders; Tunisia and Turkey, and the quite considerably de-islamized stans of Central Asia, among the best.
17. An unwillngness to discuss how it is that "moderate" Muslims at times, and for reasons completely beneath any Infidel's radar, into quite "immoderate" Muslims. The man who seems completely integrated, earning a small fortune as an Intel engineer, with three chidlren and an American wife, and who nonethelss after 9/11 gives it all up to travel to western China in the hopes of getting into Afghanistan to fight, against his fellow Americans, on behalf of the Taliban and its ally Al Qaeda (the example of "Mike" Hawash) is hardly the only one.
18. An unwillingness to study, to analyze, to admit to, and to figure out what can be done about, the Muslim doctrine as enshrined in the Qur'an, and elaborated up[on in the Hadith, and demonstrated in the life of Muhammad, the Muslim attitude toward non-Muslims. What can be done, within Islam itself, to change the basic manichean division of the world between Believer and Infidel? If a Muslim denies such a division, then he is not a "moderate" but someone who is intent on keeping Infidels in the dark about the that aspect of Islam which, for those Infidels, is the most important. Any Muslim who pretends that the institution of the dhimmi did not exist, or as Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, the Turkish historian who is currently the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Countries, would have us believe, was not bad but in fact almost a privilege kindly offered to a select group of non-Muslims -- the Ahl al-kitab -- as "protected peoples" (a highly misleading phrase, as if Al Capone were to refer to the owners of restaurants and liquor stores his men shook down as "protected people"), is not a true "moderate" but one more so-called "moderate" engaged in continued deceptioni.
19. An unwillingness to discuss the full extent of the disabilities imposed on non-Muslims who, as dhimmis, were allowed to live and even to practice their religion, but under circumstances so painful, so financiallly burdensome, and so socially and politicallly limiting, and at times so physically insecure, that over time a great many of those dhimmis, even aside from the intermittent spasms of forced conversion that would be ordered by a ruler (e.g. Shah Abbas in Persia), would in order to avoid continuing to endure that status of dhimmi would convert to Islam.
20. An unwillingness to discuss the role of Arab supremacist ideology within Islam, a presumably universalist belief system. The requirement that the Qur'an ideally be read in Arabic, that non-Arab speakers (such as those poor boys in Pakistan) devote much of their young lives in madrasas to memorizing a text they cannot possibly grasp in a language they do not know, the desirability of taking Arab names as part of islamization, the necessity of bowing five times a day in the direction of Arabia, the setting up as a Model for Mankind of a seventh-century denizen of Arabia and, secondarily as models, his companions, the often-comical false Arab lines of descent that non-Arabs assume, the cultural and linguistic and political imperialism that is part of what Muslim Arabs have inflicted on others, from the Kurds and the Berbers, to the black Muslims in Darfur, to the Afghans treated with such contempt by the local Al-Qaeda Arabs, to the non-Arabs of Pakistan and Indonesia who are encouraged to forget, or to regard with hostility, thepre-Islamic or non-Islamic parts of their own countries and civilizations, for nothing must exist but Islam, and islamization necessarily has carried with it the seeds, and more, of arabization.

TORONTO -- A national Islamic group is asking Muslims who have been stopped at Canadian airports to come forward in hopes of launching a legal challenge against no-fly lists.
The Canadian Islamic Congress has issued the call because many Muslims are making travel preparations for the hajj, a major religious ritual, early next year. About 5,000 Muslims in Canada are expected to make the annual pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, in January.
Ottawa has said it wants to set up a no-fly list to take effect next year, though airlines already exercise their own security measures.
Congress president Mohamed Elmasry says he wants to know how people on the list would be notified, how long they would stay on it and how names could be removed.
In August, Elmasry sent a letter to federal Transport Minister Jean Lapierre opposing the planned list, expected to contain about 1,000 names.
Lapierre has said the list, to be developed with the help of the RCMP and the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, would only name those who pose "an immediate threat to aviation security."
Elmasry cited one incident a few weeks ago in which he said a Muslim family from Ontario was not allowed to bring their baby on board.
Elmasry, who could not provide further details of the incident, said that case triggered the call to solicit other similar stories.
"It is funny and at the same time it's sad," Elmasry said. "This is really devastating to our community."

At least 25 dead as Bali rocked by blasts

As many as four near-simultaneous explosions rocked Indonesia's resort island of Bali on Saturday, killing at least 25 people and wounding 50 others, police and local hospital officials said.
It is believed the victims included foreign tourists.
The blasts "were clearly the work of terrorists," police Maj. Gen. Ansyaad Mbai, a top Indonesian anti-terrorism official, told The Associated Press.
El Shinta radio reported that at least three blasts rocked Jimbaran beach, which is lined with seafood restaurants commonly frequented by tourists.
Another explosion is believed to have struck a bustling outdoor shopping centre in downtown Kuta, about 28 km away.
In 2003, suspected militants from the Jemaah Islamiyah militant group attacked the J.W. Marriott hotel in Jakarta, killing 12 people.
The group was blamed in an explosion outside the Australian Embassy that killed 10 in the same year, as well as the 2002 bombings on Bali island that killed 202 people, most of them foreigners.
Last month, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said he was worried that the network was plotting another attack.
Why give money to the enemy in Egypt?

Egypt has so far received nearly $60 billion in jizyah -- Protection Money that the Infidel donor of such money is afraid to stop, for fear of the consequences -- from the United States alone. Why? Did Egypt need to be bribed into accepting the entire Sinai, its oilfields, its infrastructure, all put in place by the Israelis? Did Egypt in 1979, or 1988, or 1993, or 1999, or today, show any signs of fulfilling its solemn commitments under the Camp David Accords?
No? Well what about its attitude, as demonstrated in its government-monitored and controlled press, toward the United States? Do you find great gratitude for that $60 billion? Any gratitude at all? Do you not find, instead, all over the Egyptian media, the most murderous hostility, the most venomous antisemitism (including a television series based on "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion"), and the most sickening and predictable anti-Americanism?
How long should American taxpayers put up with the misreading of Islam by our rulers, who have given every indication of understanding Islam less well than many of those in the general population (a sampling of whom come to Jihadwatch), or not at all? We are under no obligation to respect their choices, or to believe that they "know more" about Islam and the Middle East than most of us. We are simply taking in the world as it is and making sense of it by taking into account the main fact in Egypt, as in the other Muslim countries: the fact of Islam.
Long ago, in his "Manners and Customs of Modern Egyptians," Lane noted that Egyptians would often begin the day with prayers of imprecation against the Infidels, prayers of hate. That was in the 1830s. What has changed since? A brief interregnum, when the British brought some modicum of efficiency to Egypt's government. And during the ancien regime of King Farouk, the presence of large numbers of Italians, Greeks, Jews, and Armenians helped to give a veneer of civilization to Alexandria and Cairo, with the Muslim masses either held in thrall as fellahin or whipped up by the Muslim Brotherhood to attack foreigners, Copts, and Jews. Then came the colonels, who overthrew Farouk, and primus inter pares, the bullying blustering Star of the Arab World, the deplorable Gamal Abdel Nasser. He managed to offend even that philo-Arab, that godfather of the Arab League, Anthony Eden. He also managed to split the United States, under that dimwitted "anti-colonial" John Foster Dulles, from its traditional allies England and France over the Suez business, when the slapping-down of Nasser might have at least delayed the day of Muslim self-assertion that has become, because it can, full-fledged Jihad using whatever instruments present themselves.
Why has no one called for hearings on the nature of our aid program to Egypt? Why has not a single member of Congress cried aloud about this little fact: though Egypt is a poor country, a small class lives fantastically well on the largesse that American taxpayers, many of them are living lives far more difficult than that led by the Egyptian ruling class, are forced to supply year after year? No aid comes from rich Arabs. It is not expected to. It is not demanded. It is the Americans and other Infidels who are now expected to supply such aid, year after year....or else. Or else what, exactly? Nothing could do as much good to get Egypt's attention, and make America less unpopular among the Egyptian masses, as to withdraw all aid from Egypt -- not merely to threaten to cut a small sum. After all, all it took was the threat to cut $30 million to get the Egyptian government to arrange for a new trial, and a new verdict, for Saad Eddin Ibrahim.
And here is one more thing for you to write your Congressman about. Egypt is a poor country. It receives more than $2 billion a year from the United States. But in the last full year for which there are records, 2004, Egypt stood third among all the countries in the world for the amount it spent on buying foreign armaments. It was third -- after China and India. Why did Egypt, a poor country, spend $7.5 billion on arms? Who threatens Egypt? Not the Sudan. Not Libya, that has just disarmed and whose ruler has other fish to fry, what with his pan-African schemes and dreams. Surely the Egyptians do not think that Israel intends to attack, now that there is that "Peace Treaty."
Could it be, might it be, is it just possible that -- Egypt is preparing for a future campaign against Israel, the Infidel enemy, the once and future enemy, the enemy with which a permanent peace, according to Islam, can never be made?
Is this a question that someone can please raise in Congress? Can someone ask the Administration to explain the American aid and what the Egyptians are doing with it, and the anti-American attitudes fostered in Egypt by the government and by the Egyptian elite -- attitudes which might be lessened among the masses if they did not think, correctly, that American aid simply goes to prop up a band of thieves at the top? Can someone ask about this, please? Because nearly 300 million Americans do not relish having sent $60 billion to a country whose government and people dislike or even hate us, and do not wish us well.
Is that so hard for our rulers and increasingly un-representative representatives, of both the 2-year-term and 6-year-term varieties, to understand?

In 1991, the Canadian province of Ontario passed what seemed at the time to be an enlightened, multicultural piece of legislation. Called the Arbitration Act, it stipulates that if two parties agree to engage a commercial, religious, or other arbitrator to settle a civil dispute, the provincial authorities will then enforce the verdict, so long as it is in accord with Canadian law.
“People can use any arbitrator they want and can use a religious framework if it is mutually acceptable,” notes Brendan Crawley, spokesman for the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General. “If the award is not compatible with Canadian law, then the court will not enforce it. You can’t agree to violate Canadian law.”
Over the years, Jews, Catholics, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mennonites, and aboriginals, among others, made use of arbitration to settle family law questions without using Ontario’s court system. The system quietly worked. “If there have been any problems flowing from any rabbinical court decisions, I’m not aware of them,” observed the Ontario region chairman of the Canadian Jewish Congress, Joel Richler.
Then, in October 2003, an organization called the Islamic Institute of Civil Justice proposed the creation of Muslim Arbitration Boards (internally, it used Islamic terminology for these, Darul-Qada). As explained by the institute’s founder, Syed Mumtaz Ali, the boards, arbitrating on the basis of Islamic law, the Shari’a, would permit a Muslim to live according to Islam’s “complete code of life.”
A first news article on this initiative came out in November 2003; within days, prompted by WorldNetDaily.com (“Canada prepares to enforce Islamic law”), a huge dispute got going. A hitherto obscure Ontario provision prompted a sharp national debate and even street rallies in twelve Canadian and European cities.
Interestingly, the main opposition came from Muslim women’s groups, who feared that ignorant, isolated females would submit to the inescapably misogynistic Shari’a, a law code that permits parents to marry off pre-pubescent girls, men to marry multiple women, husbands alone to divorce, fathers automatically to win custody of children over certain ages, and sons to inherit more than daughters.
The anti-Shari’a campaign succeeded. On September 11 – after almost two years of public debate – the premier of Ontario, Dalton McGuinty, held that religious-based arbitrations “threaten our common ground.” He announced, “There will be no Shari’a law in Ontario. There will be no religious arbitration in Ontario. There will be one law for all Ontarians.”
His decision means that faith-based arbitration can continue to operate, as it did long before 1991, but the government will no longer enforce its verdicts.
Anti-Shari’a forces were, of course, jubilant. “That was the best news I have ever heard for the past five years,” said Homa Arjomand. “We’re still in disbelief. But it’s such good news. It’s remarkable,” commented Nuzhat Jafri. “I’m just thrilled!” reacted Tarek Fatah (before he began receiving death threats).
McGuinty’s decision has a catch, however. Acting on the correct premise that Islam must be treated the same as other religions, he determined that if Muslims cannot enjoy state enforcement of faith-based arbitration, neither can anyone else. Therefore, McGuinty said, his government would “as soon as possible” introduce legislation to repeal the Arbitration Act of 1991.
This side-effect prompted a pained reaction from those who would lose state enforcement of their arbitration decisions. Richler denounced it as a “knee-jerk reaction against the Shari’a issue.” Rabbi Reuben Poupko of Montreal added, sadly, “the Ontario government felt compelled to throw the baby out with the bath water.”
That Orthodox Jews and others might lose out points to an emerging pattern, whereby efforts to integrate Muslims into the West upset a benign status quo. Other recent examples:
French nuns for the first time must take off their cowls for identity card or passport pictures because of anti-hijab legislation. Likewise, French schoolchildren may not wear crosses or Stars of David to class.
Large populations – British underground riders, American airport passengers, Russian theater-goers – must undergo extensive security checks, thanks to Muslim terrorists.
Danes marrying foreigners face extensive restrictions to bring them into Denmark because of immigration abuses (the “human visa” problem) involving Muslims.
Santas, Nativity plays, Christmas carols, and Bibles are banned in Western countries so as not to offend Muslim sensitivities.
Unremarked by most Westerners, Islam’s presence has started to change their way of life.

Every Friday, in mosques throughout the islamic world, your religious leaders preach against western values, express hatred for infidels and long for the time when islam will rule the world.

Or Syed Abul Ala Maududi, founder of the Pakistani political party Jamaat-e-Islami. He declared that non-Muslims have "absolutely no right to seize the reins of power in any part of God’s earth nor to direct the collective affairs of human beings according to their own misconceived doctrines." If they do, "the believers would be under an obligation to do their utmost to dislodge them from political power and to make them live in subservience to the Islamic way of life."
Commenting on the first self-immolation by a female Hamas suicide bomber, one of the organization's leaders, Mahmoud Zahar, had this to say: "the march of resistance will continue until the Islamic flag is raised, not only over the minarets of Jerusalem, but over the whole universe."
These are not a few kooks who have misinterpreted your faith, but rather the mainstream Islamic thinking which is pervasive the world over. THAT is why I believe that islam is such a threat to civilization – for too many of you want to impose this barbaric belief system on us. The freedoms and faults of our secular society are many, but we have no intention of turning our back on them and will fight to the death to preserve them.

The mind of a muslim
I have recently been conversing with a few muslim women about what I believe to be the innate hatred of women in the koran, and the general level of disrespect that islam has for women. The response to me below was originally posted on an islamic blog. It's sad, funny, pathetic and frightening - all at the same time. It shows how little muslims from arab nations understand those of us in the west and what sort of propoganda they are fed by their state-run media. My comments in italics:

Islam does not order anything about beating women for wearing hijab. Rather it is one of the God given orders and those who choose to follow do and those who don't, just don't but do bear it's sin just as any other sins committed but that does not belittle the good deeds and God's mercy, but sins do vary there are major and minor sins which is a sign of God's justice on mankind. It is a relationship between creator and creation one to one basis.

By the way, I am not bias against Jews or Christians, no, of course not...Actually I have many friends whom are Christians, and only one actually who is a Buddhist from the US which is the case of many Moslems as well.
In Islam we are encouraged to be tolerant of other religions. hee, hee... No one is to be forced into embracing Islam since simply there would be no point to it! You claimed that Jihadists are attempting to do that which is besides the point.

Before your country's government decided to go to free people and fix things up, why couldn't they make peace on your own streets first? Why can't it truly protect a woman. Why does your law need articles about sexual harassment on such large scales if it were not taking place to a great extent? I am not saying it does not happen in our countries, but not in the manner or scale it does at yours.

A Great Adventure for Muslims Only

In mid-September my eye was caught by an article in my daily newspaper with the headline, “Muslim families gain their Great Adventure.” It was about a day set aside by the Six Flags Great Adventure theme park in Jackson, NJ for an event that was estimated to draw 15,000 Muslims.
“The idea”, said organizer Ashfaq Parkar of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) “is to provide a fun environment that adheres to Islamic principles.” And I thought to myself, why couldn’t a Muslim visit Great Adventure on any given day and have a good time?
The answer was that “The Azan, the Muslim call to prayer, will stream over the loudspeakers, instead of pop music.” The reporter went on to note that, “Crowds will take a break from the roller coasters and thrill rides to kneel and pray on tarps facing Mecca. Instead of eating hot dogs and pizza, they will feast on halal food prepared in accordance with Muslim law.”
So, at 1PM, 5PM, sunset and 9PM, “the rides will be shut down and the music turned off.” In some Muslim nations this is often the rule throughout the day. The organizer, Mr. Parkar, also pointed out that “Some Muslims don’t really like to go to a gathering where there is going to be loud pop music or where people are not dressed appropriately.”
Muslims are very big on proper dress, especially for women. A head-to-toe burka is the favored fashion statement throughout the Middle East. Only Great Adventure isn’t in the Middle East. It’s in New Jersey, one of the original thirteen States of the Union.
“For one day,” the reporter rhapsodized, Great Adventure “will transform itself into an Islamic-friendly theme park.” Turns out that Six Flags is “popular with religious groups, hosting Jewish youth groups and Christian organizations in the past.” If the goal of the Islamic Revolution is achieved, Six Flags will operate fulltime to provide the Azan, halal food, and any other rule some imam decrees.
What the reporter failed to mention in the course of the article is that the Islamic Circle of North America is a group that has been identified as having ties to international terrorism. ICNA is the subject of a Senate investigation into groups “which finance terrorism and perpetuate violence.”
One member, Imam Mazen Mokhtar of Masjid al-Huda in New Brunswick, NJ is under investigation for ties to a plot to blow up New York landmarks and is accused of operating an al Qaeda website. An ICNA campaign to help terror suspects was joined by a group called the Islamic Thinkers Society that in turn is connected to al Mahajiroun, all of whom are believed to support terrorist activities to advance the Islamic Revolution. It’s not like this information was not available with a fairly easy search of the Internet.
So I, like the other readers about happy Muslims at Great Adventure got a story intended to portray them as just another religious group out for a good time, just like the Jewish and Christian groups. Only ICNA is not like those Jewish and Christian groups. Those groups are not shot through with people plotting terrorist attacks. Those groups are not seeking to impose their codes of behavior on everyone else by flying planes in skyscrapers or blowing up innocent victims on buses and subway trains.
I was reminded of a report by Arab intellectuals that was commissioned by the United Nations and released in July 2002. It noted, according to an article in The New York Times, that the Middle East was “being crippled by a lack of political freedom, the repression of women and isolation from the world of ideas that stifles creativity.” Not unlike the isolation that requires taking over a theme park for a day in order to conform to the same religion that has rendered a large region of the world a place where ignorance and intolerance dominates to the point of utter and complete stagnation.
In America, we expect immigrants and those fortunate enough to have been born here to exercise tolerance for all other religions. We expect religious groups to refrain from plotting to take over the nation and impose their rules on everyone else. Most certainly, we don’t think of synagogues and churches as places filled with literature advocating the overthrow of America or where people gather to plot violent acts to bring about that goal.
Reading the story, it occurred to me that the reporter was being deliberately ignorant of all the facts regarding the ICNA because she wanted to encourage tolerance, understanding, and even good will as she took note of the many strictures required to turn the theme park into an “Islamic-friendly” place.
The sense of moral superiority expressed by the need to transform Great Adventure is the same driving force behind those Jihadists commanded to make war on other faiths until the “unbelievers” convert. And then I thought that lots of people in America and around the world do not have cause to be Islamic-friendly these days.

Furthermore, the technical complexity of this operation, the way it was carried out, as well as the possibility of obtaining secret and classified information in the US and the Zionist entity's record of attacking its own people in order to benefit on various levels, as well as the secret, deep-rooted competition between the Zionist entity and the US...
The Washington Times published a 68 page report about this, one day before the attacks of 9/11, which is one of the reasons to suspect Zionist involvement.

He insisted the “disengagement” was the result of nearly five years of concerted efforts at mass murdering Jews, and is confident Jaffa, Haifa and Jerusalem will all fall to Islamic terror in their time too.
“We will win in Jerusalem and in Palestine, the whole of Palestine,” Zahar declared during the largest Hamas rally Gaza City had ever seen, according to some reporters.

Al Qaeda video serves new warning
On the fourth anniversary of the September 11 attacks, the United States has received a chilling reminder that al Qaeda still has the country in its sights.
ABC News has acquired a new videotape featuring the self-proclaimed "American al Qaeda." Officials say his name is Adam Gadahn, a well-known al Qaeda operative believed to be living in Pakistan.
On the tape, apparently reading from a script, he delivers a very pointed threat against Los Angeles and Melbourne, Australia.
"Yesterday, London and Madrid, tommorrow Los Angeles and Melbourne, Allah willing," he says. "And this time don't count on us demonstrating restraint or compassion. We are Muslims, we love peace, but peace on our terms."
The 11-minute long diatribe appears to have the same graphics and production techniques recognized by U.S. officials as part of a standard al Qaeda video.
Russ Knocke, a spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security, said U.S. authorities were trying to verify the tape but "there's no specific intelligence to verify or substantiate" the claims and threats in it.
This most recent tape is aimed at American and British audiences.
"Don't believe the lies of the liars at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and 10 Downing Streets," the tape says. "They have dispatched your sons and daughters to die lonely deaths in the burning deserts of Iraq and the unforgiving mountains of Afghanistan."
Gadahn's family says just a few years ago, Gadahn was a southern California teenager who was interested in heavy metal music and the environment. But, his family says he converted to Islam at an Orange County mosque where he came under the influence of militants who took him to Pakistan.
Now he appears to be an al Qaeda spokesman warning Americans an attack is coming unless the U.S. stops its actions in Iraq and Afghanistan. He also attempts to dispel as rumours reports that Osama bin Laden is dead. He closes the tape by invoking the names of the 9-11 suicide bombers.

Ishaq:593 “From the captives of Hunayn, Allah’s Messenger gave [his son-in-law] Ali a slave girl called Baytab and he gave [future Caliph] Uthman a slave girl called Zaynab and [future Caliph] Umar another.”
Bukhari:V3B48N826 “The Prophet said, ‘Isn’t the witness of a woman equal to half of that of a man?’ The women said, ‘Yes.’ He said, ‘This is because of the deficiency of a woman’s mind.’”
Ishaq:584 “Tell the men with you who have wives: never trust a woman.”

Qur’an 24:31 “Say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty except what (must) appear; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display them except to their husbands...”

Tabari VIII:62/Ishaq:496 “Ali [Muhammad’s adopted son, son-in-law, and future Caliph] said, ‘Prophet, women are plentiful. You can get a replacement, easily changing one for another.’”
Ishaq:496 “Ask the slave girl; she will tell you the truth.’ So the Apostle called Burayra to ask her. Ali got up and gave her a violent beating first, saying, ‘Tell the Apostle the truth.’”
Qur’an 24:1 “(This is) a surah which We have revealed and made obligatory and in which We have revealed clear communications that you may be mindful. For the woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication, flog each of them with a hundred stripes. Let not compassion move you in their case, in a matter prescribed by Allah. And let a party of the Believers witness their punishment.” Qur’an 24:6 “And for those who launch a charge against their wives, accusing them, but have no witnesses or evidence, except themselves; let the testimony of one of them be four testimonies, (swearing four times) by Allah that he is the one speaking the truth.”
